Free random voice chat, no camera required

Tap start and get matched instantly for a live voice call with a stranger — no sign-up, no download, and no webcam.

Some people search for this as random voice chat, a random voice call, voice chat with strangers, or even "air talk" — it's all the same idea: talking to someone new by voice instead of typing or being on camera. FunChatX's voice call feature runs on the same free, moderated matching as its random text chat, so you can start typing and switch to a live voice call the moment you'd rather talk.

Questions about voice calls

Is random voice chat really free?

Yes. Voice calls on FunChatX are completely free, with no hidden limits on how many strangers you can talk to.

Do I need to sign up to start a voice call?

No. Just tap start and you're matched with a stranger instantly — no account, no email, no download required.

Is random voice chat safe?

Every call runs through 24/7 AI moderation with one-tap reporting and instant disconnect. See the Safety Center for full details.

What is the minimum age to use voice calls?

FunChatX voice calls are intended for users aged 18 and over.

Do I need a webcam to use voice calls?

No. Voice calls only use your microphone — no camera required.

How does FunChatX compare to AirTalk?

Both offer free, account-free random voice chat. FunChatX keeps voice calls inside the same site as its random text chat and video chat, so you can switch formats without a separate app. See the full comparison.

Can I switch back to text chat?

Yes. Head back to Random Chat any time to keep things text-based instead, or switch to video chat from the homepage if you'd rather go face-to-face.

Do VIP members get extra call time?

Yes. FunChatX VIP includes 150 minutes per day of voice and video calling, on top of unlimited free random text chat, plus gender and country filters.
